The Match-Up
The College and Kent State meet for the second time on Friday evening. The teams met for the first time on March 14, 2014, with Kent State edging the Cougars, 8-6.

CofC's offense has churned out 7.23 runs and 10.77 hits per game thus far, while batting .302 and getting on the pond at a .411 clip. The Cougars entered the weekend ranked 25th in the nation in hits (140) and 41st in runs scored (94).
McRae Comes in a Cut Above

Logan McRae has enjoyed a strong start to the 2017 season, entering the weekend ranked amongst the top 25 in the nation in home runs, RBIs, RBIs per game, and slugging percentage. He is currently batting .417 with 17 runs scored, five home runs, and 21 RBIs thus far.
On Base Maestros
A trio of Cougars have been models of consistency when it comes to getting on base this season, as
Logan McRae,
Luke Manzo, and
Bradley Dixon have been nearly impossible to keep off the base paths. McRae has reached safely in all 13 games - including a current eight-game hitting streak - while Dixon has recorded at least one hit in the last 11 contests. Manzo has reached safely in 12-of-13 games this season.
Scouting Kent State
Kent State comes into the weekend with a 7-4 overall record - including a 6-3 mark away from home. The Golden Flashes dropped a doubleheader to Wake Forest last Saturday, but have registered three wins each over Belmont and Florida International, along with a victory against Radford.
Tim Dalporto paces the Kent State offense with nine RBIs and a .409 batting average, while Brad Hamilton and Dylan Rosa have combined for five of the Golden Flashes' eight home runs. Eli Kraus and Zach Willeman each carry a 2-1 record into the weekend, while Connor Wollersheim leads the pitching staff with a 1.32 ERA in 13 and two-thirds innings of work.
