
Harrington Tabbed Perfect Game Midseason Freshman All-America

SANFORD, Fla. – College of Charleston starting pitcher Carter Harrington was selected to the Perfect Game Midseason Freshman All-America Second Team, the association announced Wednesday.
Harrington has made seven appearances and six starts for the Cougars through the halfway point of the season, posting a 2.76 ERA in 29.1 innings. The freshman has fanned 25 batters, including seven in three frames in his collegiate debut Feb. 17 at No. 4 Coastal Carolina.
The Columbia, S.C., native earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors after earning his first career victory in five shutout innings versus Hofstra. Harrington fanned five while yielding just two hits in the win.
Harrington also tossed 7.0 innings March 20 against UNCW, the longest start by a CofC freshman since Caswell Smith on March 7, 2020, who also went 7.0 innings against Evansville.
