Henken Headlines Five Cougars Receiving All-American Honors

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – College of Charleston senior Paris Henken became the third sailor in program history to be honored as the Quantum Women's Sailor of the Year after leading the Cougars to their third women's national championship and ninth Leonard B. Fowle Trophy earlier this month, announced ICSA officials Tuesday.
"Jack, Noelle, Marian, Lucy and Paris are very deserving of All-American honors this year," Director of Sailing Kevin Jewett said. "Paris pushed us at home all year in practice and was a huge part of our Fowle Trophy win this year. I'm extremely happy that she is the 2021 Quantum Women's Sailor of the Year."
Henken collected a trio of awards in recognition of her stellar season including her first career veneration as the Quantum Women's Sailor of the Year. The Coronado, Calif. native was also named an All-American Women's Skipper as well as an Honorable Mention All-American Coed Skipper.
Senior Jack Brown was honored an All-American Coed Skipper while fellow senior Marian Williams collected Honorable Mention All-American Women's Skipper Accolades. Noelle Owen and Lucy Klempen were recognized as All-American and Honorable Mention All-American Crews, respectively.
