HOUSTON, TEXAS – The College of Charleston women's basketball team (2-5) hung within striking distance for just over 30 minutes of the game, but Houston (3-4) pulled away in the fourth quarter to hand CofC the 79-63 loss.
• Houston never relinquished the lead in the game, but the Collage managed to hang around through the first 30 minutes of the game, even tying it up early in the second. It wasn't until the fourth quarter that UH managed to push the lead beyond eight points.
• The Cougars of the Lowcountry outshot the Cougars of Houston 50.9% to 45.8%, while also outrebounding them 38-28. The difference in the game was in turnovers, where CofC committed a season-high 24 to UH's 14. Houston was also effective from long range (9 of 20), and had 15 more opportunities from the stripe than the College.
• Despite the result of the game, Sunday represented career-nights for many CofC players.
Tanisha Brown had a career-best 21 points, and with ten rebounds, recorded her third-straight and fifth total double-double of the year.
Dajah Logan matched a career-best nine rebounds, adding 13 points, a block and a steal, while
Darien Huff matched a career-high five assists.

Breanna Bolden had a typical night by her standards, scoring 14 points, seven boards and three steals.
Shiclasia Brown meanwhile had her best game of the year, posting a 6-4-7 in 38 minutes of action.
The Cougars will have 12 days until their next game, a road-affair at the KFC Yum! Center on Dec. 16 against Louisville.
