CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team (9-18, 6-10) and Northeastern (11-17, 7-9) came out firing in TD Arena Friday night, but CofC faltered in the second quarter and couldn't recover, falling 86-75.
• The two teams combined for 52 points in the opening stanza, after which Northeastern led 28-24.
Breanna Bolden led the way for the Cougars with 13 points, while Francesca Sally paced NU with 12 points. Bolden finished the night with her tenth double-double of the year with ten boards and a season-high 28 points, while Sally ended up with a career-best 30 points and 14 boards.
• The Huskies sparked a 20-7 run to kick off the second quarter, and ultimately went into the locker room up 50-36. The Cougars chipped away at the lead in the third, but the closest they would ever get was when
Tanisha Brown brought CofC within 7, hitting a jumper with under a minute to go in the period to bring the score to 67-60. Brown finished with a 14-5-5 with five steals.

Bri Sullivan played 25 minutes off the bench, and logged a career-high 11 points on 5 of 9 shooting.
Darien Huff joined her in double digits with 13 points, adding two steals and a block while matching her career high with five boards.
• The Cougars dominated the turnover battle, giving up 13 while forcing the Huskies into committing 23. However, Northeastern excelled from the field at 29 of 50 (58%) while earing 29 trips to the line. Conversely, the Cougars shot 39.2% (29 of 74) and only went to the strip 16 times.
• Jess Genco notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists, while Claudia Ortiz accrued 21 points, six boards and four steals.
The Cougars return to action Sunday at 2 p.m., when they host Delaware for Senior Day.
