Martin Scores in 100m Hurdles on Day Two of Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – The College of Charleston T&F program picked up where they left off in the second day of competition at the Colonial Relays, shining in the track events.
Jenny Martin threw a 31.66m in the javelin throw, and turned around to score for the Cougars with a seventh-place time of 14.92 seconds in the 100m hurdles, improving upon her previous personal best time by 0.15 seconds. Elsewhere in the hurdles, Katherine Linn ran a 1:07.83 to take 50th.
Ellen Feringa submitted yet another strong performance in the steeplechase, improving her personal best by six seconds with a time of 11:06.84. Marissa Small-Towns also left her mark in a distance event, clocking a 4:51.28 in the 1500m.
Leona Burton Rojas rounded things out in the sprints, clocking a 13.08 in the 100m.
Saturday will mark the final day of competition. The only track events ahead are the myriad relays for which the meet is named. Out in the field, the Cougars will compete in the high jump, triple jump, shot put and discus.
