College of Charleston Sailing Earns Two Wins in Three Events

The College of Charleston sailing team won 19 of 20 races to take the SAISA Spring Women's Championship held this weekend at South Florida in Tampa, Fla. The Cougars, along with second-place USF, qualify for the ICSA Women's Championship to be held May 23^rd. Charleston is the defending 2006 National Champion.

Andrea Savage, Dani Neri and Erin Markee posted 11 points, placing first in all but one race, to take first in the A-Division. Allie Blecher and Christina Murray won all the races in the B-Division to total the lowest points possible, 10, to take first.

The Cougars have finished the regular season and will next compete in all three national championships, coming at the end of May.
