Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Sports Medicine at the College of Charleston is to set a standard in providing comprehensive, quality healthcare to our student-athletes. Our staff will serve as an advocate for the student-athletes health and well-being and we will be proactive in treating and managing the student-athletes healthcare, while providing a professional environment for all involved. We will utilize an integrated team approach of certified athletic trainers, sports medicine trained physicians, and other qualified health professionals to effectively manage and treat various medical, physical, and mental conditions.

Vision Statement

The College of Charleston Sports Medicine staff will advance the athletic department by providing the most current medical care to student-athletes and advocate for them beyond collegiate athletics to promote health in all aspects. We will strive to set the standard for Sports Medicine departments in the CAA by promoting professionalism, inclusion, advocacy, and continued education in all levels and areas.
