CofC Sailing Takes Seventh at Coed Dinghy Championships

The College of Charleston Sailing team placed ninth in both the A and B-Divisions to finish seventh at the ICSA/Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship held June 2-4 at the New York Yacht Club in Newport, R.I. Georgetown took the title with 238 points. Charleston finished with 321 points in the three-day event.

Chris Lash and Steven Barbano skippered the Cougars in the A-Division, placing in the top five in seven races including a win in the first race, to finish ninth overall with 163 points. Britney Haas and Katie Weaver crewed with Lash and Barbano.

Nick Martin skippered the Cougars in the B-Division, with Megan Riddle and Dani Neri serving as crew. Charleston finished in the top 10 in 12 of the 18 races to place ninth with 158 points.
