
CofC Rallies Past UTC, 86-77

Andrew Goudelock (Lilburn, Ga.) scored 21 points while Donavan Monroe (Waxhaw, N.C.) added a career-high 18 leading the College of Charleston to an 86-77 Southern Conference win over Chattanooga before 3,414 at McKenzie Arena on Monday.
Charleston, which plays host to Wofford at 7 p.m. on Thursday, improved to 21-7 overall and 13-5 in league play. Chattanooga fell to 15-14 and 11-7.
Goudelock's 3-pointer with three seconds left in the half capped a 10-1 Charleston run and cut Chattanooga's lead to 39-38 at intermission. Goudelock finished the first half with 11 points while Donavan Monroe added eight points.
Antwaine Wiggins (Greeneville, Tenn.) finished with 16 points for Charleston and added seven rebounds. Dustin Scott (Jamestown, S.C.) added a game-high eight rebounds.
Kevin Goffney led the Mocs with 26 points while Stephen McDowel finished with 15 points.
For the game, Charleston shot 47.7 percent from the floor, but 62.1 percent in the second half when they hit on 18-of-29 attempts. UTC shot 52.0 percent for the game hitting 26-of-50 attempts.
The Cougars equaled their season-high 12 steals, nine in the first half.
