Head Coach Bobby Cremins
On freshman Andrew Lawrence and Willis Hall
"I can't say enough about our freshman, Andrew Lawrence and Willis Hall. Willis played big and did a great job in the second half with an offensive tip in and a great three. Lawrence is really helping us right now right along with Hall. I can't say enough about our two freshman, they saved the day for us".
On facing Wofford
"Wofford is picked as one of the top teams in the Southern Conference. It should be a great one tomorrow night. They're a great basketball team and they're smart. We've had some memorable games with them and they have two signature wins in our conference, beating Georgia and South Carolina. They are very good and they're well coached".
On the hard fought win over Furman
"I'll tell you this about Furman - they're good, without a doubt. That game could have went either way. Casaan [Breeden] made a great steal and Andrew Goudelock is just an incredible scorer. We were in trouble and we could have lost this game. We were out of sync but we pulled it out. This was a very good game. We were flat and they made us earn this one. They are definitely one of the most improved teams in the conference. Furman is going to upset some people".
Commenting on the team's ability to rally
"It's amazing. We were in trouble and we weren't ourselves. I expect some of this because we're not perfect. At times your not going to have that energy but tonight, when the game was turning, Breeden made a great steal and followed up with a three and Goudelock is just ridiculous the way he can score a basketball".
Andrew Goudelock
About facing a strong Furman team
"Furman is a tough team and you have to give a lot of respect to them for that. They play really hard but we came out and responded in the second half tonight".
On the reliablity of his teammates
"This is one of the best starting fives I've ever been a part of and I never feel like it is just on me to get it done."
About facing Wofford on national televison
"Hopefully we can learn from today and play with intensity from the very beginning and not have to worry about coming back late in the game. I think we lost focus sometimes last year and that cost us a couple of games. I don't expect it to be that way this year".
Casaan Breeden
Speaking about the Cougars balanced scoring
"That's just the way our team is. We can spread the offense around and just look for the mismatches and get the ball to them."
On the performance of Andrew Lawrence and Willis Hall
"I definitely hope this is the breakout game for both of Willis and Andrew. They both played well and they saved us tonight. Lawrence played 14 minutes and had 11 points and added some great passes. Willis came in at the end and really helped us. For them to continue to get better, that would be a huge boost for the team."
About facing Wofford on national televison
"Games in the Socon can go either way because the teams are really balanced. Just because the game is on ESPN2 tomorrow doesn't mean we change what we do. We're just going to keep playing our game as a team."
