CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston equestrian team is back in competition this weekend as they travel to Savannah, Ga., for a Saturday show hosted by the Savannah School of Art and Design.
The Cougars will see similar teams to last weekend, where they finished second at the Georgia Southern IHSA Horse Show.
CofC Head Coach Bob Story said he is optimistic about the level his team will be at, riding against top level competition.
"I will have some new riders competing this weekend so I can see them in a competitive situation," he said. "I expect my team to ride at a higher level this weekend and not make the simple mistakes that we saw last weekend at GSU. It should be a good show for us."
Fans can mark their calendars for Nov. 20 when the equestrian team will host their first of two home competitions at Storybook Farms.
