
Cougars Close Out Home Season with Game against Mountaineers

The Cougars hold the 14-9 record over the Mountaineers and won the last meeting, 91-87 Feb. 16, 2009.
CofC is a half-game ahead of Wofford (11-3 SoCon) to lead the South Division, while the Mountaineers are two games ahead of Western Carolina (9-6 SoCon).
Charleston is 17-9 overall and 12-3 in the Southern Conference, and won its last meeting with an 80-77 decision over Elon Feb. 11, 2010. CofC is led by Andrew Goudelock (Lilburn, Ga.) with 19.4 points a game. Jeremy Simmons (Lithonia, Ga.) paces the team in rebounds with 7.8 a game.
Appalachian State is 16-10 overall and 10-4 in the SoCon and lead the North Division. The Mountaineers have won four in a row and last played Feb. 13 against Georgia Southern where they took the 111-83 decision behind a 30-point performance by Donald Sims, who leads the team with 19.8 points a game.
Charleston is next in action when it travels to George Mason Feb. 20th for an 8 p.m. game against the Patriots on ESPN2. The Cougars are 2-0 over George Mason, with the last meeting a 74-70 win on Dec. 12, 1998. Charleston is 2-1 in ESPN BracketBuster games all-time.
