
Cougars Open Five-Game Home Stand with Chattanooga

The College of Charleston begins a five-game home stand at the Carolina First Arena with a Thursday, Feb. 4 contest against the Chattanooga Mocs. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
The Cougars are looking for the season sweep over Chattanooga, having defeated the Mocs, 90-66, in the first meeting of the year. Charleston leads the overall series 13-10 and has won the last five of seven meetings.
The Cougars are 14-8 overall and 9-2 in the Southern Conference, having rebounded from a two-game losing streak to defeat Georgia Southern, 90-72, Jan 30. Andrew Goudelock (Lilburn, Ga.) scored 23 points to lead the team. It marked his third straight game with over 20 points and it was the ninth time in his last 10 games. Goudelock leads the Cougars with 19.6 points per game. Jeremy Simmons (Lithonia, Ga.) is atop the leader board in rebounds with 7.8 a game.
Chattanooga is 13-10 overall and 4-5 in the league and has won its last two in a row, including an 85-80 win against Appalachian State in its last game. Ty Patterson leads UTC with 15.7 points a game, while Ridge McKeither averages 5.8 rebounds per game to pace the team as well.

Goudelock is just 74 points from moving into the top five in the all-time CofC scoring list. He is currently eighth with 1,467. At 1,322 and in 12th, Tony White, Jr., is just 92 from moving into the top 10.
Goudelock has 225 career three-pointers and recently eclipsed Marion Busby's school record of 220.
The Cougars are 8-2 in their last 10 games and average 81.2 points per game, compared to 74.6 for the opposition. Charleston holds a 49.7 shooting percentage, compared to 43.4 for the other teams.
