The College of Charleston Sailing team recently worked with the Charleston area Habitat for Humanity, helping in the construction of a house in North Charleston, S.C.
This is the third year the Cougars have worked with Habitat for Humanity and the second time the team has been at this site on Nassau Street. Last year's squad helped construct the house just next door to the one they worked on this year.
"I think it is a really good team bonding experience and it also helps out a good cause," said Senior Mary Maxwell.
The team spent most of the time at the site applying hurricane straps to the interior and exterior sides of the windows.
"It is an awesome experience and a way to give back to the Charleston community," said Junior Cole Allsopp. "We have really enjoyed our experience here."
