This past weekend, Maegli won his second individual national title amongst college sailing's best as the 2012 LaserPerformance/ICSA Men's Singlehanded national champion and Glen S. Foster Trophy recipient. It marked the CofC sailing program's fifth all-time men's singlehanded national title next to Maegli's previous title in 2009 and in 1988, 1990 and 1991. With the victory, the business administration major earned an invitation to compete for the U.S. Sailing O'Day Trophy, which is the National Singlehanded Championship for all sailors in the United States.
A communications major, Shelton became just the second player in CofC history to reach 2,000 digs for her career with 16 digs in Saturday's 3-0 sweep of Wofford. Shelton now has 2,021 career digs which ranks second in the CofC record books and second among active Southern Conference players.
