Cougars Eye Repeat Performance at SAISA Fall Coed

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The fourth-ranked College of Charleston sailing team heads to Jacksonville, Fla. this weekend for the SAISA Coed Championship regatta, where the Cougars hope to bring home their ninth consecutive SAISA Fall Coed title.
The regatta will feature two divisions of competition across two days on Saturday and Sunday. Each division will compete in 12 races over the course of the two-day event. The Cougars will take on conference foes Duke, Eckerd, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Jacksonville, Miami, North Carolina State, South Carolina, South Florida, and UNC Wilmington.
Junior Stefano Peschiera (Lima, Peru) will skipper A-Division with junior crew Grace McCarthy (San Diego, Calif.), while the tandem of senior skipper Jack Cusick (Fairfield, Conn.) and senior crew Chloe Dapp (Newport Beach, Calif.) will represent the Cougars in B-Division.
The Cougars dominated the two-day event last fall on their home waters with an 18-point (46 points) victory over runner-up Eckerd (64 points).
