CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – The College of Charleston cross country team wrapped up its season on Friday as the men finished 26th and the women took 20th at the NCAA Southeast Regionals hosted by the University of Virginia.
The women started off the day in a 6K race, finishing just 16 points shy of intrastate rival South Carolina with a team score of 596 points. Tess Masselink paced the Cougars with a 69th place finish, making yet another etch in the record books with the 16th-fastet 6K time in school history.
Cate Ambrose (22:32.3, 102nd) and Tori Churchill (22:34.3, 105th) were next across for CofC. Ellen Feringa and Marissa Small-Towns rounded out the scoring for the Cougars, finishing 147th and 182nd respectively.
On the men's side, all five of the top finishers for the Cougars logged Top 25 performances in school history in the 10K, led by Hayden DiBona who ensconced himself as the second-fastest 10K runner in the maroon and white with a 91st place time of 31:25.6. Declan Hines slid in behind him in 125th with a time of 32:07.5 to become fourth-fastest in the history of the College.
Crew Kosiorek, Sam Beattie and Evan Peirce rounded out the scoring for the CofC men's team, finishing 159th, 172nd and 177th.
Furman won the men's race with a score of 55. NC State won the women's race with a score of 68.

On the men's side, all five of the top finishers for the Cougars logged Top 25 performances in school history in the 10K, led by Hayden DiBona who ensconced himself as the second-fastest 10K runner in the maroon and white with a 91st place time of 31:25.6. Declan Hines slid in behind him in 125th with a time of 32:07.5 to become fourth-fastest in the history of the College.
