CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston Athletic Fund, the fundraising arm for CofC Athletics, is set to host its fourth annual Tip-off Dinner presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at TD Arena. The event is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Â
Decorated ESPN college hoops analyst and former player and coach Jay Bilas will be the featured keynote speaker at this year's Tip-Off Dinner. Bilas captured the 1986 NCAA National Championship at Duke before making his mark as one of the premier voices in the college basketball world.
Â
"We're excited to put on a great event with a keynote speaker who is an exceptional ambassador for student-athletes in Jay Bilas," said
Jerry Baker, Executive Director of the Cougar Club. "It's a chance to come together ahead of a very exciting basketball season and give back to all the outstanding College of Charleston student-athletes."
Â
In addition to Bilas headlining the event, the evening will also include a cocktail hour, a dinner and a live auction. All proceeds from the fourth annual Tip-Off Dinner will go directly to CofC student-athlete scholarships. Live auction items will range from priceless experiences to memorabilia. Those include a fine-dining experience with head men's basketball coach
Pat Kelsey and his wife Lisa, a chance to be a coach for the day and get an exclusive behind the scenes gameday experience and much more.
Â
The past two Tip-Off dinners raised more than $100,000 combined. To reserve a table for the 2021 rendition on the John Kresse Court at TD Arena, please contact the Charleston Athletic Fund at 843-953-8255 or
