CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston men's basketball graduate students Ryan Larson and Dalton Bolon posted career-highs in the Cougars' opening round victory at the Charleston Classic on Thursday night in TD Arena.

Larson and Bolton started off the contest with back-to-back threes to get the Cougars offense going early. The momentum continued when CofC went on a 14-3 run in the middle of the first half behind a raucous crowd in TD Arena. Ben Burnham gave Charleston their largest lead on a layup fed from Larson to go up by 12 points with seven minutes remaining in the half. With one minute to go, Ante Brzovic gave CofC a 14 point lead on a jumper in the paint to go up by 14 at the half 44-30.

Pat Kelsey's squad posted 15 offensive rebounds in the first half, more than Davidson's complete rebound total for the frame. The Cougars' also held Foster Loyer, the nation's second leading scorer, to just four points in the half.

Davidson came out strong of the locker room and cut the lead to three at 54-51. A Larson three kick started the offense to an eight point edge where it was all Cougars all the way. Adam Comer and Jack Miller scored their first collegiate points in the runaway victory.

Larson posted a career-high 21 points, going 7-11 from three point range and 5-7 from the field.
