Cougars Place 17th at ICSA Women's National Championship

NEW ORLEANS --- The College of Charleston sailing team finished 17th at the ICSA College Sailing Women's National Championship on Thursday to conclude the 2021-22 season.
The Cougars accumulated 285 points from 11 rotations finishing 61 points shy of a tie for 10th. Grace Squires skippered the Cougars to 141 points and a 15th-place finish in A-Division alongside crews Kalea Woodard and Lucy Klempen. Woodard crewed nine races with Klempen jumping on the gunwale for a pair.
Charleston finished the regatta with 144 points in B-Division with Emma Tallman skippering nine races and Kiera O'Reardon taking the tiller for the remaining two. Rowan Schanley, Roxanne Snyder and Klempen rotated at crew.
