BOCA RATON, Fla. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team fell to No. 13 FAU Saturday night 90-74.
With a three-pointer at 15-minute mark of the first half,
Reyne Smith sank his 200
th career three. He currently ranks seventh all-time in career threes made in program history with 201.
Both teams went dry from the field during a three-minute stretch until an
Ante Brzovic layup ended the drought and tied the contest at 24-24 with seven minutes remaining in the half. A driving layup and three-pointer from
Frankie Policelli capitalized a 7-0 run to give the Cougars their first lead of the game.
Charleston maintained the edge leading by as much as nine in the half to enter the locker room up 46-40. Smith paced the offense with nine in the frame.
FAU took their first lead of the second half 13 minutes in at 56-55 before going on a 6-for-7 run from the field while the Cougars went 2-for-11 during the same stretch. Charleston continued to struggle from the field, shooting just 22.9% in the half.

- The Cougars were in foul trouble early with Kobe Rodgers picking up four in the first half. Ben Burnham fouled out with five minutes to play in contest.
- The Charleston bench outscored FAU's bench 39-27.
- This marked Crawford's third straight contest scoring in double-figures.
