CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team dominated Northeastern 99-63 Monday night at TD Arena. The Cougars move to 25-3 overall and 13-2 in CAA play, the first team in the country to 25 wins this season. CofC remains tied with Hofstra for first place in the league.

The Cougars were led from the start by six straight points from Ante Brzovic. Charleston built up an early 21-point lead behind an 18-2 run as the Cougars found their hot streak midway through the first half, shooting 7-7 from the field over a three minute span. Northeastern responded with a burst 12-0 run of their own, but it was not enough to overcome a 13-point CofC advantage at the end of the stretch. Charleston held the Huskies from scoring in the last three minutes of the half to enter the locker room up 49-32.

The Cougars continued to build their lead throughout the second half. An 8-0 run highlighted by two triples from Reyne Smith gave the Cougars a 32-point advantage. Pat Kelsey's team never looked back, never letting the Huskies within more than 13 to cruise to victory.

Ante Brzovic matched his career-high as a Cougar with 23 points
Ben Burnham had his fifth straight double digit game with 16 points, shooting 6-7 from the field
Pat Robinson III and Dalton Bolon each contributed 14 points
Jaylon Scott grabbed a team-high six rebounds followed by Robinson III with and Ryan Larson with five.

Game Notes

Charleston shot a season-best 59% from the field
The 36 point margin is the most all season and the most in a CAA game by the Cougars in league history.
The Cougars' 99 points is the most in a game this season.
