CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball team defeated UNC Wilmington in a dominant 93-61 performance Wednesday night at TD Arena. The victory moves Charleston to 23-3 on the season and 11-2 in the CAA. UNCW drops to 19-7 overall and 9-4 in league play.

The game was back-and-forth out of the gate with both teams staying within one possession until an 8-0 Seahawk run gave UNCW the edge. After a three minute scoring drought for the Cougars, a 9-0 run highlighted by seven straight points from
Ante Brzovic brought CofC back on top.

Three straight triples ignited the Cougars' momentum and pushed the lead to five. Charleston forced four turnovers from the Seahawks within four minutes to contribute to a 16-2 run at the end of the first half. Two triples in the last minutes increased the Cougars' lead to 19 to enter the locker room up 46-27.

UNCW came out of the locker room hot with a 7-0 run while forcing four turnovers from the Cougars. CofC was not rattled and silenced the Seahawk surge with a 12-0 run of their own, giving the Cougars their largest lead of the night at 28. Charleston never let up the advantage throughout the second half, only allowing the Seahawks within 16. CofC pushed the lead to as much as 34 with under two minutes to play to secure the 93-61 win.
