
Equestrian Ranked #2 in NCEA Single Discipline

WACO, Texas. – College of Charleston equestrian is ranked No. 2 in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Single Discipline poll, the league announced Tuesday.
On Sept. 28, the Cougars beat the then-No. 1 Single Discipline team in the country, Lynchburg, 6-4. Charleston dominated in fences, taking four of the possible five points from Lynchburg. The Cougars grabbed the two final points in the flat to secure the victory.
CofC then beat Centenary, 4-3, later in the day, to begin the season 2-0.
Caroline Berg was named MOP in the fences against Lynchburg while Hailey Pendl earned MOP in fences against Centenary.
The NCEA team is back in action on Friday, Oct. 18 for a meet at No. 1 Sweet Briar.
