CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team defeated Tusculum University 94-71 on Wednesday night to earn their sixth victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the Pioneers jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, back-to-back layups from Ante Brzovic kick started a 12-0 Cougar run to take a 12-5 edge.
- Charleston used the run to take a 48-30 advantage entering halftime. The Cougars shot 52% from the field in the frame, led by Lazar Djokovic with 11 points.
- Tusculum made five straight field goals to start the second half to come within nine points of Charleston.
- The Cougars slowly gained separation, going on a 16-2 run to end the game. Evan Kilminster scored five of the final 12 points to help seal the victory.
- Lazar Djokovic led the Cougars with 17 points followed by Justas Stonkus with a career-high 16. The rookie went 4-6 from the field and was a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe.
- CJ Fulton had 13 points, seven assists and five rebounds for a complete evening.
- AJ Smith and Brzovic rounded out the double-digit scorers with ten each.
- Kilminster grabbed a career-high five rebounds to help Charleston outrebound their opponent for the fifth time this season.
- Charleston's eight turnovers are their lowest of the season.
- The Cougars' shot over 50% for the fifth time this season.
- The Cougars, now 6-2, will travel to Philadelphia to take on Saint Joseph's on Tuesday, December 10. Action is set for 7:00 p.m.
