ST. MARY'S, Md. - The College of Charleston won the Seahawk Women's Team Race in St. Mary's, Maryland over the weekend placing first out of ten teams.

The Cougars were tied at the top with Penn, Darmouth, and Cornell entering the final race. Charleston was ultimately able to take the crown with one extra win led by skippers Emma Tallman, Grace Squires, Fredrikke Foss, and Emily Alfortish along with crew members Rowan Schanley, Clara Murphy, Marina Dryer, and Chloe Hudgins.

Skippers Noah Zittrer, Benjamin Dufour, Alexander Gonzalez, Axel Stordahl, and Brandon Geler plus crew members Lucy Klempen, Aidan Iaconis, Brandon Geller, Noelle Owen, Garrett Grenauer, Andrea Melnik led the Cougars to a third place finish out of nine teams at the Aaron Szambecki Team Race in Virginia Beach. Charleston won races over Navy, George Washington, Tulane, and Miami in the final round.

The offshore team placed third out of nine teams at the Coast Guard Invite, winning a tiebreaker with three other program to secure third. Charleston earned 42 total points.
