Sailing Competes at ICSA Nationals

BOSTON, Mass. - The College of Charleston sailing program represented the Cougars at both the Open and Women's Team Race National Championship over the weekend in Boston.
The Cougars open team finished in ninth place out of 16 qualifying teams. Led by skippers Axel Stordahl, Benjamin Dufour, Noah Zittrer, and Brandon Geller and crew members Chloe Hudgins, Lucy Klempen and Noelle Owen, the Cougars earned round of 16 victories over Brown, Georgetown, Coast Guard, Navy, Boston College, Tufts, and Wisconsin.
The women's team finished ninth of 12 qualifying teams. Skippers Emma Tallman, Grace Squires, Emily Alfortish, and Fredrikke Foss and crew members Owen, Hudgins, and Klempen took opening round wins over MIT, Tulane, and Wisconsin.
Charleston will return to action in the upcoming Fleet Race Nationals.
