HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Charleston fell behind 16-0 before scoring their first points from the charity stripe six minutes into the game. • The Cougars ended the half going 9-11 from the field to enter the locker room down four 36-32. Smith and Boyd led the Cougars with eight points in the frame.
  • Smith started the second half with a floater from ten feet out to set the tone for his 17-point second half. The Cougars took their first lead of the game on a Boyd triple to go up 39-36 with sixteen minutes to play.
  • It was all Charleston from there, leading by as much as 13 in the final minutes of play to secure the comeback win.
