Men's Basketball Falls at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team fell to Drexel 64-55 on Saturday in Philadelphia. The game concluded a four game road swing for the Cougars.

- Charleston opened the game with back-to-back scoring possessions before the Dragons went on a 14-2 run to take a 14-5 lead. The Cougars went over eight minutes without a basket before an Ante Brzovic driving layup ended the drought.
- Back-to-back treys from CJ Fulton and Deywilk Tavarez helped cut the lead to three at 18-15 with five minutes to play in the half.
- Drexel ended the half on a 10-0 run to take a 30-21 lead into the locker room. Tavarez led Charleston with seven first half points.
- Drexel started the second half on a 7-0 run and maintained the momentum for the rest of the game. The Cougars went on a 8-0 run to end the game making 4 of their last 6
- Brzovic led the Cougars with 16 points going 50% from the field. He also had a team-high six rebounds.
- Tavarez joined Brzovic in double figures with 11 points while adding five rebounds.
- Elijah Jones and Derrin Boyd added four rebounds each.
- Charleston shot 37% from the field compared to 43% for Drexel.
- The Dragons outrebounded the Cougars by one board at 34-33.
- Charleston, now 21-8 and 11-5 in league play, will return to TD Arena for the final two games of the regular season starting with Delaware on Thursday, February 27. Action is set for 7:00 p.m.
