CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team sent its seniors out on a high note with an 87-65 win over Campbell on Senior Night. The Cougars finish the regular season 23-8 and 13-5 in CAA play ahead of next week's 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cougars jumped out to a 9-4 lead, holding the Camels scoreless for nearly three minutes. Back-to-back AJ Smith buckets kick started another hot stretch for the Cougars, going 5-6 from the field to take a 22-10 lead with 11 minutes to play.
Charleston took a 32-17 lead with seven minutes to play behind back-to-back triples Derrin Boyd. Boyd ended the half with 16 points, leading the Cougars to a 56% first half shooting effort and a 41-26 edge entering the locker room.
Charleston continued to light it up from the floor, shooting 53% in the second half and never letting Campbell come within 12 points. The Cougars ended the game on a 15-3 run to seal the victory.

KEY COUGARS

Boyd made a season-high seven triples for a game-high 25 points. The graduate student added five rebounds and two assists to his stat line.
Smith totaled his fourth 20+ point performance of the season.
Brzovic had 14 points, eight rebounds, and a career-high seven assists.
Fulton dished out ten assists for the second straight contest, adding eight rebounds.
Tavarez was the final Cougar in double figures with ten points, shooting 50% from the field.

GAME NOTES

Charleston shot 54% compared to Campbell's 39%.
The Cougars outrebounded the Camels 39-30.
This marked the tenth time this season Charleston has sank at least ten triples.
Charleston's 24 assists are a season-high.
