CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston head men's basketball coach Chris Mack has announced the signing of Christian Reeves to the Cougars' 2025-2026 roster. Reeves will join the roster as a redshirt junior.
A Charlotte native, the 7'2" center spent the 2024-2025 season at Clemson prior to two seasons at Duke.
"From the very beginning we aimed to add size and athleticism to our frontcourt. Christian Reeves fills that need and more," said Mack. "He is an agile, athletic big man that has his best basketball ahead of him. He's been incredibly well coached and ready to contribute for the Cougs."
Reeves saw action in 29 games this season for the Tigers, shooting 50% from the field. He grabbed a season-high seven rebounds vs. Georgia Tech.
While at Duke, Reeves played in 13 games during his rookie season in 2021-22, including six in ACC play. In limited action (16 career games), Reeves is 10-for-14 (.714) from the floor with 18 total rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass and 25 points scored.
Reeves' career-high of six points came on 3-for-3 shooting in just six minutes against Pittsburgh in the 2023 ACC Tournament.
"Christian runs the floor, has excellent hands and can be a force defensively. Offensively, we are going to push Christian to impact the game in a number of ways from catching lobs to offensive rebounding to being a post threat. We are excited to add Christian to the mix."
He is a former four-star center out of Oak Hill Academy. He was ranked the No. 5 player from the state of North Carolina in his class by ESPN. In 29 games at Oak Hill, he averaged 9.2 points on .639 shooting with 7.4 rebounds.
