CHARLESTON, S.C. -  College of Charleston head men's basketball coach Chris Mack has announced the signing of Winthrop transfer guard Bryce Baker to the Cougars' 2025-2026 roster.

The Mooresville, North Carolina native averaged 7.4 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game last season in Rock Hill while shooting 40% from deep in 20 minutes per contest.

"Adding Bryce gives us a player capable of changing the game with his ability to make shots at a very high level," said Mack. "In his last fifty 3-point attempts, Bryce registered over a 55% shooting percentage. He has great size, toughness and a belief in himself."

The 6'5", 200 lbs guard was named the Big South Player of the Week last season after averaging 18.0 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game and 1.5 steals per game in wins over Longwood and UNC Asheville. He scored a season-high 24 points at UNC Asheville.

Prior to Winthrop, Baker played two seasons at Old Dominion. He saw action in 59 games for the Monarchs off the bench.

"He's a high energy defender that will add more veteran presence to our locker room. Bryce is a winner and we look forward to getting him on campus."

Baker was named the Most Efficient Player on the AAU Under Armour Circit for Team Charlotte. He led both Combine Academy (2020) and Davidson Day (2019) to North Carolina state titles before finishing his high school career at Donda Academy (CA).
