CHARLESTON, S.C. -  College of Charleston men's basketball coach Chris Mack has announced the signing of Division II All-American Kendall Taylor to the Cougars' 2025-2026 roster.

A native of Sacramento, California, Taylor will come to George Street as a graduate transfer.

"I am excited to announce the addition of Kendall Taylor to our roster for the upcoming season. Kendall is the definition of a player who's been underrated and has worked in the shadows to become the type of player he is today," said Mack.

Taylor had a historic 2024-25 season for the Wingate Bulldogs, earning first team All-SAC honors and All-District honors from the NABC along with being a D2CCA first team All-Region selection.

The 6'5", 205 lbs guard averaged 24.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per set on the season, adding 42 steals and 17 blocks. He shot 54% from the field, 87% at the free throw line and 37% from three-point range.

Taylor was the only player in NCAA D2 basketball to average over 24 points and eight rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field. He ranked sixth in the nation in scoring, while ranking second nationally with 201 free throws made. He was one of just 10 players in the country to notch a triple-double during the 2024-25 season.

"Kendall's versatility is the first thing an observer will notice. He can score the ball inside and out, rebound and pass. He's a Swiss army knife that wants to win and we can't wait to work with him beginning this summer."

He scored in double figures in all 27 games this season, scoring 20 or more points 21 times. Taylor scored over 30 points eight times, including a Wingate record 44-point effort at UVA Wise.
