CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston head men's basketball coach Chris Mack has announced the addition of Will Mortimore to the Cougars' 2025-2026 roster.
A 6-9 forward from Maitland, Australia, Mortimore spent his rookie season at Colorado Mesa where he earned All-RMAC honors. He will come to Charleston with three years of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited to announce the addition of Will Mortimore. As we built the roster for this coming season, adding size and toughness to our front court was something we discussed often," said Mack. "Will's coach at Colorado Mesa, Coach Mike Dunlap, indicated Will was one of the toughest players he's ever coached. Coach Dunlap has been around some great programs over the years so that said a lot to our staff."
Mortimore started 23 contests for the Mavericks, averaging 11.0 points per game and a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game. He shot a team-high 54% from the field and recorded six double-doubles.
Prior to Colorado Mesa, Mortimore debuted in the NBL1 for the Maitland Mustangs at 16 years old, helping his team to the 2024 NBL East Championship and back-to-back conference finals appearances in 2022 and 2023.
"Will is a competitor on both ends of the floor with college experience. We look forward to Will's arrival on campus."
He was the 2024 New South Wales Junior Player of the Year and has attended Basketball Australia National Performance Camps.
