
Goss ’02 Inducted into College Sailing Hall of Fame

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing assistant coach/dock master Ned Goss '02 was inducted into the College Sailing Hall of Fame as the recipient of the prestigious Graham Hall Award.
Goss is just the second coach from the College that has been inducted, joining George Wood.
The dock master and head offshore sailing coach, Goss has played an integral role in the program over the past 14 years, helping guide CofC to national prominence. In his role as dock master, Goss oversees the fleet of nearly 60 boats – keelboats, dinghies and coach boats. Goss also manages the College of Charleston Recreational Sailing Association, boasting over 120 members and solidifying CofC's position as one of the largest sailing programs in Charleston.
Ned also has a plethora of personal sailing achievements. He was on the United States Sailing Team in 2004 and 2005 in the 49er class, is a five-time National Champion, three-time North American Champion in the Fireball class and the World Speed Record Holder in the Moth Class (36.6 knots/42 mph) since 2012.
