
CofC Qualifies for Match Race Nationals

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing won both of its regattas this past weekend, claiming first place in the SAISA Match Race Championships and SAISA Women's Top 9 Invite.
At the Women's Top 9 Invite, the Cougars A boat earned 33 points while the B boat had 62 for 95 total points. CofC finished 50 points higher than second place Rollins (145). North Carolina State rounded out the top three with 209 points.
Charleston earned the automatic qualifier for Match Race Nationals after winning the SAISA Match Race Championships. USF and Miami finished the regattas in second and third place, respectively.
CofC heads north to compete in the Women's ACC Qualifier in St. Mary's City, Md. Sept. 27-28. The offshore team races in the Danmark Trophy Sept. 27-28 in New London, Conn.
