RUSTBURG, Va. – No. 2 College of Charleston equestrian begins its second season in NCEA where it began its inaugural campaign, at No. 3 Lynchburg. The Cougars take on the Hornets Sept. 26 at 2 p.m.
"We are eager to get back on the road and to return to Lynchburg for our first meet of the year," said head coach
Natasha Vitkovic. "After graduating three very seasoned seniors this May, we have been working hard with a few new starters in effort to get them up to speed for the head-to-head format, especially against a powerhouse like Lynchburg. Assistant coach
Hope King and I feel as prepared as possible with the changes in our roster and return from summer break."
Charleston had tremendous success in its first season competing in two formats with the NCEA team winning the ECAC Conference Championships, advancing to the NCEA National Championships in Ocala, Fla. In Florida, the Cougars defeated Sweet Briar, advancing to the finals where they were the National Champion runner up in just their first year competing.

IHSA begins its fall slate Oct. 4-5 in Tryon, N.C., versus South Carolina and Wofford while the NCEA team returns to action Oct. 17 for a home meet against Sweet Briar.
