
Cardelli, Rubin and Hewitt Collect Major ECAC Awards

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston equestrian earned numerous ECAC Single Discipline awards, headlined by junior Lainie Rubin earning Flat Rider of the Year, senior Maddi Cardelli taking home Fences Rider of the Year and Hope Hewitt collecting Assistant Coach of the Year.
Jackamo was tabbed the Horse of the Year while Oliver was named Best Tournament Horse.
In addition to earning Flat Rider of the Year, Rubin was also All-Conference and All-Tournament Team in the flat. Rubin was also MOP of the flat in the semifinals.
Cardelli and junior Camilla Murray took home All-Conference in fences. Senior Olivia Welsh was the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award to round out the awards for the Cougars.
