
Cougars Narrowly Miss NCAA Nationals Cut

ATHENS, Ga. – The College of Charleston men's golf team finished in sixth place at the NCAA Athens Regional, narrowly missing a top five qualifying position by one stroke at 18-under.
Vanderbilt (-28), Louisville (-26), Auburn (-22), BYU (-20), and Georgia (-19) will advance as the top five teams from the regional to the NCAA National Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The team finishes the 2025-26 campaign with three tournament wins while posting a 9-under, 275 team round on day two of the NCAA Athens Regional to set a new program low round during the NCAA regional stage of play.
Miles Eubanks led Charleston with a T8 (-7) finish followed by Nevill Ruiter at T10 (-6). Eubanks played three par or better rounds in Athens, highlighted by 4-under 67 on day two. Ruiter had the seventh most birdies of any competitor with 15 total.
Eubanks, Jules Lauer, and Johan Bredenkamp all recorded just one bogey during Wednesday's final round while Eubanks, Lauer and Ruiter all sank four birdies to close the competition.
Lauer and Bredenkamp posted their lowest scores of the regional during Wednesday's final round. Complete results are below.
