CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's and women's cross country teams are set to take on a six-meet schedule this fall led by head coach Chris Bailey.
"Coming off of a 2025 season with remarkable depth and consistency for the women's side, and returning all of our top performers from last year for the men, we seek to build momentum from last year's record-breaking season," said Bailey.
The Cougars plan to carry that momentum as they open the 2026 campaign locally September 4 at the CSU Buccaneer Open before traveling to Huntsville, Alabama for the Southern Showcase.
"The Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama will be a great early season test against some of the best teams in the South and Southeast regions," said Bailey.
The Cougars return to the Carolinas on October 2 for the Fire Tower Project in Boone, N.C. before concluding the regular season at the Upstate Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C.
Bailey believes the early season competition will help prepare the Cougars for the ultimate goal in the fall.
"As always, our focus will be on the championship meets at the end of the season."
The CAA Championship will be held on October 30 in Farmingdale, N.Y., ahead of the NCAA Southeast Regional in Spartanburg, S.C. on November 13th.
