
Men's Basketball Reveals Non-Conference Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. -Â College of Charleston head men's basketball coach John Groce revealed the Cougars' 2026-27 non-conference schedule on Thursday.
The non-conference slate will feature six confirmed home and six confirmed away contests.
Prior to the start of official competition, the Cougars will host Furman for an exhibition on October 25 at TD Arena. Tickets for the exhibition vs. the Paladins will go on sale September 23.
Charleston will open at TD Arena on November 6 against Newberry as a part of the College's homecoming celebrations before hosting South Carolina State on November 15. The Cougars will also travel to Temple and Drake during the early portion of non-conference play.
Groce's squad will play in the 2026 Cancun Challenge against UTEP on Tuesday, November 24 at 8:30 p.m. est from the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. The Cougars will then face off against either Eastern Michigan or Kennesaw State dependent on opening round results. Additionally, all teams playing in the 2026 Cancun Challenge will play one cross-play game in the U.S. with Charleston hosting Northern Colorado on Friday, December 18 at TD Arena.
After Cancun, the Cougars will host Voorhees to conclude November action before tipping off December at Charlotte. Charleston will round out the slate by hosting Davidson, Northern Colorado, and South Florida in December.
Additionally, there are potential opportunities for added neutral site contests in the Cougars' schedule.
