Charleston Victorious in Two Home Races

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing won the SAISA Open Top 9 and SAISA Women's Top 9 while the offshore team placed second at the Shields Trophy.

In the Open regatta, Charleston's A boat had 66 points while the B boat collected 120 for 186 total points. Miami (197) and South Florida (198) rounded out the top three.

In the Women's race, CofC dominated with 88 total points (A – 47, B – 41). Rollins (148) and South Florida (196) finished second and third, respectively.

The dinghy team has won all five regattas to begin the fall season.

The Cougars are set to appear in five races Sept. 26-27, including the SAISA Match Race Champs at home.
