CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing was victorious in a trio of races over the weekend while the offshore team took third in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta.

The Cougars claimed the top spot in the SAISA Open and Women's Top 6 Invites along with SAISA Match Race Champs.

In the Open Invite, CofC's collected 41, 47 and 33 points for a total of 121. Miami (216) and North Carolina State (225) rounded out the top three.

In the Women's regatta, Charleston totaled 282 points (84, 108, 90), besting Miami (287) and South Florida (290).

The dinghy team has now won all eight of its races to start the year.

CofC hosts the Charleston Fall Interconference while also racing in the Women's ACC Qualifiers and the Danmark Trophy Oct. 3-4.
