Do's and Don't's For Boosters - Current Student-Athletes
The College of Charleston Office of Athletic Compliance is responsible for providing rules compliance education, promoting a culture of compliance, and striving to ensure that the College of Charleston and its greater constituencies adhere to the requirements of applicable Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) legislation. The College of Charleston, as a member of the CAA and NCAA, is responsible for insuring that its student-athletes, coaches, faculty and staff, alumni and friends abide by CAA and NCAA rules and regulations.
Therefore, we have included some quick reference information targeted at specific groups within our greater College of Charleston Athletics community. Resources include links, forms and summary information for prospective student-athletes, current student-athletes, parents, athlete-agents, alumni, boosters and friends of Charleston Athletics.
The resources provided here are not exhaustive and do not cover all applicable situations and individual circumstances and the NCAA rules and regulations are constantly evolving, so we strongly encourage you to ask questions. Compliance questions and/or concerns can be directed to our Athletic Compliance Office staff via the contact information below.
We appreciate your interest and support, but remind you that under the applicable NCAA legislation, alumni and friends of the College can be categorized as "representatives of College of Charleston athletic interests.” Inappropriate contact or an inadvertent action on your part can harm the College of Charleston Athletics Program and jeopardize the eligibility of involved prospective student-athletes or currently enrolled student-athletes.
The College of Charleston is proud of the support and continued interest of the greater Charleston community in its athletics program. As we strive for excellence, both in competition and in the classroom, we always seek to maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. We can only accomplish these goals with your greatly appreciated assistance and cooperation.
