College of Charleston Licensing Program

College of Charleston Athletics Brand Guide

To protect ownership of its intellectual property, the College of Charleston has developed policies and procedures regarding the use of its name and marks. Per our licensing policy, any vendor producing products imprinted with our marks will need to become a licensed vendor. Both internal (on-campus departments) and external (bookstore, retail, resale) orders require a license.

College of Charleston’s collegiate licensing partner, CLC [IMG College Licensing], administers the licensing processes on our behalf, in addition to the collection of royalties, enforcing trademarks, and pursuing new marketing opportunities for the University. Please visit their website for general information regarding CLC or to apply for a license. CLICK HERE: http://www.clc.com/

Crafter’s License: A crafter’s license is available for handmade items utilizing College of Charleston trademarks, images, or names. The crafter’s license is $100, which includes a one-time application fee of $50 and an annual fee of $50. Crafters can apply by visiting https://login.directlicensinghub.com/licensee-registration or by requesting an application from crafters@clc.com.

If you would like to become a licensee or a retailer for the College of Charleston or if you have any questions about the licensing process, please reach out to Brad Reynolds, Director of Marketing: reynoldsb2@cofc.edu
