SENIOR (2020-21)
- Voted Team Co-Captain.
- Played and started in all 19 games of the season for the Cougars.
- Averaged 4.9 points and a team-best 6.3 rebounds.
- Snatched 11 steals and tallied seven blocked shots, anchoring the paint defensively.
- Shot a team-high 63.8 percent from the field (37-for-58).
- Scored in 18 of the Cougars' 19 games and grabbed at least five boards 13 times.
- Brought down a game-high 12 rebounds including eight on the defensive end in the team’s season opener at North Carolina (11/25/20).
- Had four double-digit rebounding games including 10 versus Marshall (12/9/20) and Northeastern (1/17/21).
- Recorded his second career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 13 rebounds against Towson (2/6/21).
JUNIOR (2019-20)
- Saw action in 31 games of the season with 12 starts averaging 3.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 0.5 blocks and 0.8 steals per game for the Cougars.
- Registered a career-high 10 points twice including his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high tying 10 rebounds versus Elon (2/8/20).
- Also knocked down 10 points against Coker (12/8/19).
- Made a career-best three blocked shots versus James Madison (1/4/20) and at William & Mary (1/11/20).
SOPHOMORE (2018-19)
- Played in 13 games of the season averaging 5.5 minutes, 0.2 points and 1.6 rebounds per game off the bench.
- Grabbed a season-high five rebounds and made one blocked shot against Rhode Island (11/13/18).
- Saw 10 minutes of action with four rebounds and one steal versus LSU in the opening round of the AdvoCare Invitational (11/22/18).
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017-18)
- Saw action in 20 games of the season averaging 1.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.3 blocks per game.
- Made his collegiate debut with three points, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the team’s season opener against Siena (11/10/17).
- Brought down six rebounds in 19 minutes of play versus Cal Poly at the Great Alaska Shootout (11/22/18).
- Recorded a near double-double performance with a career-high seven points and 10 rebounds including six on the defensive glass against Western Carolina (11/30/17).
- Member of the 2018 CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament squad.

- Redshirted the 2016-17 season.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Graduated in 2016 from New Garden Friends School in Greensboro, N.C.
- Lettered and served as team captain in soccer and basketball.
- Averaged a double-double of 14.5 points and 13.2 rebounds per game as a senior under head coach Phil Tockman.
- Named Defensive Player of the Year and Team MVP.
- Had a breakout spring and summer on the adidas AAU circuit for Team Wall under the direction of head coach Khristopher Williams in 2015.

- Osinachi Bright Smart (goes by the nickname Osi), the son of Amobi and Comfort Smart.
- Born on Nov. 14, 1997 in Nigeria.
- Has three brothers, Ikenna, Godsent and Lucky, and one sister, Blessing.
- His host parents are Nick and Cinda Purrington, and host brothers, Alfred, Charles and Joel.
- His older brother, Ikenna Smart, played basketball at the University of Buffalo and Wake Forest.
- Has only played basketball the last eight years since coming to the U.S. in August of 2013.
- Chose CofC over Rice, Stetson, Longwood and North Carolina A&T.
- Loves playing soccer and was the best player on his high school team.
- Majoring in sociology at College of Charleston.
