Jason Meyer

Jason Meyer is in his first year as Assistant Coach for the College of Charleston men’s golf program.

He previously worked as an Assistant PGA Professional at the Milwaukee Country Club in River Hills, Wisconsin. There, he provided private lessons and group clinics to members and instructed junior golf clinics.

Prior to his career as a golf pro, Meyer served as an Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Bradley University during the 2017-18 season. During his time with the Braves, he coached players during practice and tournament play and assisted the head coaches of both programs with practice planning and round strategizing for different golf courses played throughout the season.

“As a program, we are excited to have Jason contributing to the development of our student-athletes,” CofC Head Coach Mitch Krywulycz said. “His vast skill set, honed by his education and experience relating to instruction and exercise physiology, aligns seamlessly with the holistic approach we take at the College of Charleston. I know our team will benefit immensely from Jason’s energy and work ethic. We are excited to welcome him to the CofC Family.”

After graduation and his collegiate playing career, Meyer spent two years serving as an assistant professional at Weaver Ridge Golf Club in Peoria, Ill.

“I am extremely excited to be joining Coach Mitch Krywulycz’s staff here at the College of Charleston,” he said. “I have great respect for the history of the golf program and the winning tradition that has been established here. I look forward to getting started and helping Coach Krywulycz and the Cougars win conference titles.”

Originally from Dunlap, Ill., Meyer graduated in 2016 from Concordia University Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. He was a four-year letterwinner on the men’s golf team and was the Match Play Winner of the PGA Illinois Section. He holds FMS, TPI Level 1 and PGA Associate Level 1 certifications.
