• His high school team at Newport Harbor won the 2009 National Championship in Fleet Racing as well as Team Racing.
• Three-year letterwinner.
• Placed fifth at the US Sailing Youth Championship and was a member of Team USA that competed at the World Championships in Greece in 2008 and in Italy in 2009.
• Competed in the Junior European Championships in Croatia in 2008.
• Honored with the Tim Hogan Perpetual Trophy in 2006 and 2007 for best CFJ sailor.
