Catherine Sandberg joined the MUSC Health Sports Medicine team to work with the Cougars' softball and sailing programs in the summer of 2025.
She started her career at Michigan State University where she earned her undergraduate degree in athletic training. She went on to earn her master’s degree in athletic training from Illinois State University and also served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer working with women’s swim and dive.
Sandberg then went on to complete the Fellowship Program at North Carolina State University. During her time with the Wolfpack, she provided care to their men’s and women’s swim and dive programs as well as the baseball program.
